The West Indies cricket team, also known as the Windies cricket team, is a multi-national cricket team representing the West Indies Cricket Board, a confederation of 15 Caribbean countries. From the mid-1970s to the early 1990s, the West Indies team was one of the strongest in the world in both Test and ODI cricket. A number of cricketers considered among the best in the world have hailed from the West Indies.
